Aptar, a leader in the global dispensing systems industry, has announced the launch of EZ Pour, a one-piece, dispensing spout designed to bring functionality and convenience to dry food products such as candy, granular and powder products, seasonings, pet food, and snack foods.

The EZ Pour spout features a convenient flip-lid for easy access and resealability, and offers consumers a controlled, directional pour. The spout also features a built-in tamper evident pull ring, which offers consumers peace of mind and alerts them of any product tampering prior to use.

In conjunction with stand-up pouches, EZ Pour spouts make pouring and storing dry products more convenient for consumers. The patented resealable flip-lid helps to reduce messes made when pouring dry goods and can prolong a product’s shelf life, when compared to other packages without resealable features.

The EZ Pour spout was developed to improve user experience over current flexible packaging closures, offering a concise pour without the mess. Many flexible pouches on shelves today use zippers or sliders, which do not allow an easy pour.

This innovation in technology is in response to the increasing global stand-up pouch market, which is expected to grow eight percent per year through 2020, according to a report by Technavio.
